Getting a Library Card and PIN

To get a library card at Greenwood Library you need to fill out an registration form, and present a photo ID at the circulation desk. (Please wait to sign your registration form until you are at the library!) Your library card’s barcode is your user ID to log onto the Delaware Library Catalog.

If you have had a library card before and are still in the system, or if you lose your card, a replacement fee of $2.00 will be required. Click the following links for a Spanish-language registration form (forma de registro en espanol) and application instructions (Aplica para una tarjeta de la biblioteca). Students who have a Delaware Tech library card may use that card at any Kent or Sussex County Library.

Non-residents may also get a library card, good for one year, for $25.00. Non-residents who own property in the State of Delaware are eligible to receive a Delaware Library card free-of-charge. If you are visiting from out of state and would like to use the computer, Guest Passes are available for free, but are only good for three times on the computer.

Your PIN number is generally a 4-digit number given to you or created by you at the time of registration. This number allows access to the Library Catalog as well as library computers. If you forget your number, bring your library card to the circulation desk. We will not give your library card number or PIN over the phone or through email.

Please have a valid photo ID if you lose your card and want to check out items, need to know your PIN, or want a replacement card.
