Reading Therapy Dog Training


The L.E.A.P. organization (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) announces training sessions at the Greenwood Library for dogs and their owners to prepare to become reading therapy teams. The sessions are scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on the following Thursday evenings:  October 10th, 17th and 24th.

The dog must be at least one-year-old, pass a temperament test given the first session of the series, and attend all three training sessions. Current vet records need to be provided and a background check for the handler is required. The handler must be at least 18 years old and pay annual dues of $40.00. For further information, call Robin at the Greenwood Library at 349-5309.
