How does summer reading work?
Sign up at the library or online at Start reading! READ! READ! READ!
Your library card gives you access to hundreds of thousands of books, graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks, and more. You can also read books that you own. Any & all reading counts including listening to audiobooks. Future readers can still participate: If they aren’t reading yet, someone special can read to them!

Where age overlaps occur, child and/or parent must choose only one team to join. Be sure to pick up a color-coded folder for your age group (it contains important information) from the registration table.

Log Your Reading Time:

Log your time at home, on a mobile device, or on a library computer.  Logs will be available at the library to help keep track of hours.

There will be a weekly trivia question in the library that all children can enter for a chance to win a prize.  Winners will be announced each Monday at 1:00 pm.

For each 5 hours read, you will get a raffle ticket that will go toward winning a prize.  Be sure to specify which prize you hope to win by using the prize number. Prizes are displayed behind the circulation desk. Once you read 10 hours you may enter for the GRAND PRIZE.

At each milestone (10, 20, 30 hours) a special incentive is awarded:

  • 10 HOURS– Raffle Ticket, FREE Book, Reading Certificate
  • 20 HOURS– Raffle Ticket, Coupon Bag, Fine Forgiveness Ticket
  • 30+ HOURS– Double Raffle Tickets
  • To claim your prize, stop by the library circulation desk.
