How Does Summer Reading Work?
Sign up at the library or online. Start Reading! READ! READ! READ!
Your library card gives you access to endless books, ebooks, graphic novels, magazines, & more.  Include books you own & don’t forget to count the audiobooks you enjoy while getting that tan!

Log your reading time:
Log the amount of time you read at
Log your time at home, on a mobile device, or on a library computer. Logs will be available at the library to help keep track of hours.

Teens can answer weekly Trivia Questions for a chance to win a slice of pizza from Café Tamburelli’s.  Winners will be announced each Monday afternoon.

Important Dates:
First day of Summer Reading is: Monday, June 10th
Last day to submit prize tickets is: Friday, August 2nd

For each 5 hours read, you will get a raffle ticket that will go toward winning a prize.  Be sure to specify which prize you hope to win by using the prize number.  Once you read 10 hours you may enter for the GRAND PRIZE.

At each milestone (10, 20, 25, 30 hours) a special incentive is awarded:

  • 10 Hours – Raffle Ticket, FREE book, Reading Certificate
  • 20 Hours – Raffle Ticket, Goodie Bag, Fine Forgiveness Ticket
  • 25 Hours – Raffle Ticket, Invitation to Pizza Party
  • 30+ Hours – Double Raffle Tickets
  • 50 Hours –
  • 75 Hours –
  • 100 Hours –
  • Milestones will also be tracked on a special display board in the Teen Room which will show the badges you have earned.
  • To claim your prize, stop by the library circulation desk.
