How Does Summer Reading Work?
Sign up at the library or online. Start Reading! READ! READ! READ!
Your library card gives you access to endless books, ebooks, graphic novels, magazines, & more.  Include books you own & don’t forget to count the audiobooks you enjoy while getting that tan!

Log your reading time:
Log the amount of time you read at
Log your time at home, on a mobile device, or on a library computer. Logs will be available at the library to help keep track of hours.

Teens can answer weekly Trivia Questions.  Winners will be announced each Monday afternoon.

For each 5 hours read, you will get a raffle ticket that will go toward winning a prize.  Be sure to specify which prize you hope to win by using the prize number.  Once you read 10 hours you may enter for the GRAND PRIZE.

At each milestone (10, 20, 25, 30 hours) a special incentive is awarded.


In lieu of an activity sheet, the teens are encouraged to color and complete the speech bubbles of the sheet found in their registration packet. Readers are encouraged to return the completed pictures to the designated spot on the Summer Reading Table in order to be displayed in the Teen Room. Multiple entries are encouraged. Entries will be voted upon by visiting teens throughout the summer and the entry with the most votes will receive an art set. Winner to be announced at the Teen Pizza Party.
