Greenwood Chopped Competition

The Greenwood Public Library announces the Greenwood Chopped Competition hosted by Chef Charles Oppman. This four-class series begins on Monday, March 5th, at 5pm and continues every other Monday for three more sessions. The classes will cover sauce making, cooking proteins, and cooking vegetables and starches, including pasta making. The final class will be a culinary competition where teams will square off to see who walks away with the title of “Greenwood Culinary Champs”.  The dishes will be judged by a panel to determine the winning team.  Prizes will be awarded.

The classes are free and open to all 8 years and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Participation in the competition is encouraged but not required; spectators are very welcome.  The teams will be formed at the first session on March 5th. Registration is required. To register, drop by the library, call 349-5309, or click here.
