Ongoing Programs:

Tot Time (On Summer break, will resume September 4th)
On Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm is Tot Time which is a Mother Goose on the Loose program geared towards babies – preschoolers. The program incorporates nursery rhymes, songs, instruments, and stories. Parents are encouraged to participate with their child. At the end of the program families are encouraged to stay and play. Contact Miss Caitlin at 349-5309 for more information.

Story Time (On Summer break, will resume September 19th)
A preschool program for ages birth to 6 years old. Join Miss Caitlin for stories, songs, and very cool crafts. Story Time happens most Wednesdays at 10:30 to 11:30 am.  Contact Miss Caitlin at 349-5309 for more information!


L.E.A.P. (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) Program: Read to the Dogs – This program will continue through the summer.
Drop in anytime between 6:30-7:30 pm Thursday nights and read to all of our specially trained pups. Open to children of all ages – come in to practice your reading and have a tail-waggin’ good time! L.E.A.P. nights are most Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm. For more information visit the L.E.A.P. website or contact Miss Robin at the Library.

At the library toddlers- children can play on ABC mouse for free. helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more.

Yearly Events & Special Activities

The Summer Library Challenge
Greenwood Public Library offers a 10 week program from June to August that encourages kids to read. There are cool events each week such as crafts, acting, magic shows, and programs by great performers!  Our program for Summer Reading, kids will earn a free book at 10 hours, a coupon bag at 20 hours, and prize tickets for every 5 hours read.  Open to children and teens from birth to age 12. Plus we offer Teen & Adult Summer Reading Programs. STEM, Science and Performing Arts programs are offered throughout all the public libraries. Learn more about the Summer Library Challenge visit
